PRC-sponsored int'l forum in Athens on Tibet development prospects

Prospects of cooperation in Tibet between Greece and China will be the focus of an international forum in Athens on Nov. 10-11, with the participation of high-ranking PRC officials, academics, researchers and entrepreneurs from the two countries as well as from Germany and France.
The 3rd forum on the development of Tibet, entitled “Tibet: New Perspectives in the Hellenic-Chinese Cultural and Economic Cooperation”, is hosted by the Hellenic Chinese Chamber (HCC), the Information Office of the State Council of People’s Republic of China and the Chinese embassy in Greece, with the support of the Greece China Association.

Chief Editor of China – Greece Times newspaper visits the Embassy of Greece in China

According to the website of China – Greece Times, the chief editor and the founder of this newspaper Mr. Wang Peng, who is participating in the “Two sessions” in Beijing, visited the Embassy of Greece in China, and had a meeting with Ambassador Mr.Theodore Georgakelos and Press Counselor Mr. Christos Failadis. During the meeting, they exchanged ideas about the economic, trade and cultural exchanges between China and Greece.

Chinese ambassador discusses cooperation prospects with local authorities on Crete

China’s ambassador to Athens Du Qiwen, who arrived at the island of Crete on New Year’s Eve accompanied by his wife, met on Monday with the mayor of the port city of Iraklion.
Their talks focused on cooperation issues, the promotion of locally produced farm products, as well as issues concerning tourism and culture.

International congress opens in Athens

An international congress on "Leadership and Administration in a changing world. Lessons from Ancient Eastern and Western Philosophy" inaugurated its sessions at the Roman Forum, central Athens, on Monday evening in the presence of President of the Hellenic Republic Karolos Papoulias.
The congress is jointly organised by the Athens Economic University and Beijing's Economic University.
