Museum of the Sacrifice of the People of Kalavryta

      
Description : 

The Museum of the People of Kalavryta was founded in 1993, 50 years after the town's holocaust.
The Museum Collection is composed of personal belongings of citizens who were executed, historical documents from private collections, photographs from both Greek and German state archives, stamps, engravings by various artists, whose themes were inspired by the sacrifice of the people of Kalavryta and some of which were created immediately after the tragic event.

 



Archaeological Museum of Thera

      
Description : 

The Archaeological Museum of Thera was built in 1960 by the Ministry of Public Works in order to replace the old museum (built in 1902), which had collapsed during the earthquakes of 1956.
The Museum contains Sculpture, ranging from the Archaic to the Roman period, Inscriptions, ranging from the Archaic to the Roman period and Vases and clay figurines, dating from the Geometric to the Hellenistic periods.



Thessaloniki Cinema Museum

      
Description : 

The Thessaloniki Cinema Museum was founded in1997 when the city of Thessaloniki was selected as the Cultural Capital of Europe. It operates under the supervision of the Greek Ministry of Culture and is an independent part of the Thessaloniki International Film Festival.
The Thessaloniki Museum of Cinema collects, preserves and displays cinematographic artifacts in Greece and organizes educational and research programs related to cinema in collaboration with other museums.



Archaelogical Museum of Thessaloniki

      
Description : 

Five thematic exhibitions compose the new display proposal by the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki. Through these, the visitor will come in contact with the world of ancient Macedonia, with its civilization and its people.



Museum of Works by Theophilos

      
Description : 

The Theophilos Museum was built in 1964 in Varia, a suburb of Mytilene, where the popular artist was born and spent his childhood years. It was built by the famous Mytilenian publisher of art books in Paris, Stratis Eleftheriades (Teriade).
In 1965, Teriade donated the Museum to the Municipality of Mytilene, together with 86 of Theophilos' paintings from his own private collection. Since then, it has been operating as a municipal museum.
